The rooms upstairs have high ceilings and windows. The parlour curtains were blue velvet(een) and so was the window seat and cushions. We’re going to decorate the room in grey and white the same as the sitting room in our old flat. We’re keeping the carpet because although it is an old fashioned pattern, it is a good quality carpet. So I decided to dye the curtains blue to match the grey blue colour scheme.
