The most important work to get done is the central heating. There isn’t a central heating system as such but a collection of gas fires, electric heaters and immersion heaters etc. So we are having a gas central heating system installed with a combi boiler.
The boiler is going in the kitchen so we left room for that. We’re getting all the main rooms fitted with radiators and then can extend into the bathrooms and utility room once we have sorted them out. We want to get as much done before we move in that involves lifting floorboards.

The radiators are great and are level – it’s just the floors and walls that are uneven.

We have a Nest thermostat too as we used one before in our flat in Edinburgh. Hopefully it will work well here.
