One of the rooms at the front of the house is going to be the library. The plan is to have floor to ceiling shelving along one wall and in the alcoves. In the short term, before we moved in, we just wanted to get it decorated as the plaster was taken off and on again for the damp proofing and some plain grey carpeting. It looked great when empty…and is now full of boxes of books. The brick wall is a bit odd, but we like it and the fire works so it is quite cosy.
